Colombia
In Timbío, Cauca, the United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia (UNVMC), together with the Entrepreneurship Unit of the Mayor’s Office, visited productive initiatives led by peace agreement signatories and local communities. These included Café Sabor La Esperanza, a coffee-producing project in the rural area of Las Veraneas supporting the economic reintegration of former combatants. The Mission also visited enterprises led by victims of the conflict, including initiatives focused on silk production, basket weaving and birdwatching tourism. The visits aimed to identify opportunities for cooperation with local authorities to strengthen these initiatives, support sustainable livelihoods and contribute to reconciliation.

Libya
Twelve young Libyan women from across Libya's east, west and south gathered in Tripoli this week to strengthen their journalism skills and develop in-depth stories exploring how Libya's political uncertainty affects the lives of ordinary people.
The three-day workshop marked the beginning of Storytelling Libya, an intensive, three-month training initiative jointly organized by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), through the Basirah media professional development programme.
