The United Nations-facilitated political dialogue between the Government of Honduras and key political actors concluded yesterday. The effort was led by the UN Resident Coordinator in Honduras, Igor Garafulic, with the support of the Department of Political Affairs (DPA).
It is hoped that the points of consensus reached by the participants at the working level will provide a basis to address important challenges facing Honduras.
Under-Secretary-General Rosemary DiCarlo, head of DPA, thanks Hondurans for their trust in the United Nations, as well as Spain’s Ambassador to Honduras, Guillermo Kirkpatrick de la Vega, who served as co-facilitator of the dialogue.
