On 10 June, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of UNMIK, Ms. Caroline Ziadeh, met the heads of the Missing Persons Resource Center (MPRC), Mr. Bajram Qerkinaj and Mr. Negovan Mavrić. They discussed the importance of promoting human rights and a humanitarian approach to the issue of missing persons. SRSG Ziadeh reiterated UNMIK’s commitment to supporting the MPRC and the families of missing persons in their right to pursue the truth. Additionally, they emphasised the need for meaningful cooperation between the Pristina and Belgrade working groups on missing persons to resume with full effect.
