29 Mar 2021 - 28 March 2021 marks three years since the Secretary-General launched his Action for Peacekeeping (A4P) initiative during a Security Council open debate on peacekeeping, presided by the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Recognizing that strengthening UN Peacekeeping is an ongoing process, the virtual event aims to promote understanding, further reflection, and motivate action on future implementation of A4P. The panel will provide an opportunity for the perspectives of various stakeholders to be shared, and the public will have a chance to interact with the panelists. Suggestions on how to strengthen future implementation of A4P are encouraged. The discussion should stimulate multi-stakeholder engagement on A4P progress and the way forward.
