On 14 July, MINURSO hoisted France’s national flag at Mission Headquarters in celebration of the country’s National Day.

On 2 May 2013, the UN Security Council passed a unanimous resolution 2102 (2013) establishing a new mission, replacing UNPOS.

On 11 July, MINURSO marked the celebration of Mongolia’s State Flag Day by hoisting the national flag at the Mission HQ next to the UN flag.

On 9 July, MINURSO hoisted Argentina’s national flag at Mission Headquarters in celebration of the country’s Independence Day.

On 6 July, MINURSO marked Malawi’s Independence Day by raising the Malawian flag alongside the UN flag at the Mission’s headquarters.

On 4 July, MINURSO marked the United States' National Day by hoisting the U.S. flag alongside the UN flag at its headquarters in Laayoune. T

On 12 June, MINURSO celebrated Russia’s National Day by raising its flag at the Mission headquarters in Laayoune next to the UN flag.
